BMC 'Annual Club Championship'
The Basingstoke Motor Club Annual Club Championship runs, as the title suggests, annually. Starting on the first of January, and running until completion of the final BMC event of the year, it is hoped that club members can score points for all activities, amassing throughout the year to a grand total. The highest score takes all.
This newly revised system has been designed to address each of many imbalances generated by the previous system (The original and initially devised system). It is hoped that by competing, organising or marshalling (or all) in any BMC events throughout the year, there is an even chance of winning.
Your Championship Co-ordinator for 2022 is Vicci Vaughan.

The 2019 Championship - Final Results:
Well, another year is almost done and with all events run, the championship is done and dusted. The final tables, ably recorded throughout the year by our intrepid Championship Co-ordinator, Steve Garside, revealed the winners of each category.
Starting with the Marshals, and it became clear that our Chairmen, Chris Pratt and Jeff Brown really do roll up their sleeves to help out. Vice Chairman Jeff walked off with the top prize. 105 quality points led the class, but Chairman Chris ran in just behind to take second place with 95.
Next is the Competitors Cup. With 45 individual BMC members scoring points, it was no easy category to win, but congratulations have to go to Joe Dalgarno, taking second place with a very credible 80 points. First place however goes to Colin Woodhouse, just 5 points ahead of Joe (85 points scored on just three events). Very well done both drivers!
Of course, all these events have to be organised, and with a flush of new blood this year, it was very pleasing to see Jem Mead top the group with a full 60 points, earned from the 'Scotty Totty' 12 Car and the Grasshopper Grass Autotest. Also on 60 points was Jace Shawley, with all his organising points from the 'Plotters Bash Navigator Training' and the Tenderfoot Novice 12 Car.
Finally, the Overall Championship, and it's the same two at the top as last year. 155 points saw Glynn Hayward into second place, but again, as last year Jace Shawley was just ahead with 160.
Awards will be presented at the BMC Christmas Dinner on the 4th December, at the Fox in North Waltham. Tickets on sale from Chris Pratt, but not for much longer.
